Healthcare Data Analyst with BA Experience Requirements: SQL, Power BI, SAS, health economics, data analysis, reporting, queries, Medicare/Medicaid, Quality Assurance, Data Quality Validation, Business Analysis, Scrum Healthcare Domain Experience absolute must Position Overview The Healthcare Data Analyst position involves writing queries, analysis of healthcare data, with an emphasis on working with the technical operation team to create requirements and support BI reporting capabilities. The analyst will contribute to population health analyses, clinical workflows, report development, and product development. Key Responsibilities • Discovery and documentation of processes – as-is and to-be • Creating and executing test plans to ensure the highest quality of products. • Creating data quality rules and ensuring verification • Developing and maintaining test automation scripts for different types of applications. • Analyzing business requirements and providing feedback and recommendations. • Analyze health care data and provide insights and recommendations to improve patient outcomes and cost-efficiency. • Analyze inbound health care data including claims, ADT HL7, and eligibility and and assess quality and consistency • Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources including healthcare provider, member/patient, and third-party data. • Assist in designing, programming, testing, and standardizing processes and reports for auditing and verification of data source • Support execution of large-scale projects with limited direction from leadership • Identify and perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and present findings and proposed solutions to leadership and/or customers • Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes with limited supervision within targeted timelines • Support the design, testing, and implementation of process enhancements and identify opportunities for automation • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how customers interact with analytic products • Create business requirements to support new client/product implementations • Participate in HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) initiatives to measure and improve the quality of care provided. • Conducting necessary data validation checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall data integrity for analyses. • Research and support adoption and utilization of emerging technologies for data analysis • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation for all projects. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Business Analysis. • Excellent knowledge of different software testing practices and techniques specifically as it relates to data migration • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, public health, or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis. Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3 years of experience relevant industry experience in healthcare data analysis and health economics • 1-2 years of consulting experience in health policy including Medicare/Medicaid topics areas, experience with commercial payers and provider organization a plus ; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred • Working knowledge of healthcare data including medical claims, pharmacy claims, and eligibility, population behavior • Conventional understanding of applicable data privacy practices, HIPPA & Healthcare regulations would be a plus. • 2 years professional experience using statistical software, data verification, data management • Working knowledge of scripting or data mining tools like SQL, R, Python, SAS, Java/MapReduce, Aster, etc. required • ETL experience is a plus. • Experience in Quantitative Analytics & Regression Modeling • Must be analytical, detail oriented, and a problem solver • Excellent Excel and database skills • Experience with T-SQL, Python, SAS and Power BI reporting tools a must • Experience with Data Quality testing Apply Job!
