[email protected] ; 813-513-1441 Key Responsibilities - Virtual Counseling: Deliver individual and group counseling via secure teletherapy platforms to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. - Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during student crises to ensure their safety and emotional stability. - IEP and 504 Plan Collaboration:** Work with educators, parents, and administrators to create and implement IEPs and 504 plans focusing on students’ social-emotional needs. - Resource Coordination: Link students and families with community resources, including mental health services, to enhance their overall well-being. - Family Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and offer strategies for supporting their development at home. Qualifications - Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field. - Licensure: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a School Social Work endorsement in Michigan. - Experience: At least two years of experience in a school setting; experience in virtual or remote environments is preferred. - Skills: Proficient in teletherapy, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of students’ social-emotional development. - Attributes: Compassionate, proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to fostering students' mental health and academic success.
