Distance Learning Special Education Teacher - Remote | WFH

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We're looking for a dedicated Distance Learning Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this fully remote role, you'll provide specialized online instruction to students with behavioral and emotional needs, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities... Deliver engaging and tailored online instruction for students with behavioral and emotional challenges. Develop and implement effective virtual behavior intervention plans to support student growth. Design and manage digital social skills curricula to enhance students' interpersonal abilities. Conduct functional behavior assessments in an online setting to understand and address student needs. Collaborate with families and staff to create and apply positive behavior support strategies. Train students and their families in using adaptive technologies to aid learning. Participate in virtual Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and staff development sessions to stay aligned with best practices.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on behavioral interventions. Valid teaching license with special education and behavioral specialist endorsements. At least 3 years of experience working with students facing behavioral challenges. Proficiency in online behavior management techniques and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts in a virtual environment. Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to student success.
