Overview

This is a PRN & REMOTE position. Work approx. 20 hours per week. Onboarding Specialists provide a high level of support to new hires from the time of offer acceptance through their first day with Mercy. They assist in investigating problems and questions related to pre-employment and onboarding components. They are responsible for providing a seamless onboarding experience to new hires with: • Knowledgeable communication of pre-employment requirements • Coordination and verification of prehire compliance components • Criminal background check review • License and Certification Verification • Education Verification • Other projects as required Responsible for coordination of pre-employment records, preparation of reports, appropriate and knowledgeable communication to applicants, department management, recruiters and other key departments within Mercy. • Ability to professionally conduct new hire paperwork collection, process pre-employment checks, and gather required pre-hire documentation as outlined and assigned. • Processes incoming calls and voicemails utilizing excellent customer service skills. • Assists in investigating problems and questions relating to applications and job offers. • Demonstrates knowledge of state licensing and safety regulations. Prioritizes task appropriately. Utilizes good judgment in use of time and maintains work hours as appropriate. Qualifications • Experience: 1 year of customer service experience required. • Required Education: High School or equivalent required • Preferred Education: Associates or Bachelors • Certifications: HR certifications a plus (HR, SHRM-CP) • Other: Exquisite attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills required.
