In this role, you will support the US attorney team (and wider global patents team as required) with intellectual property (IP) management, patent filing, and related activities to protect IP rights of Smith+Nephew’s Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics groups. What will you be doing? • Draft NDAs and manage NDA reviews within internal process.Obtain foreign filing licenses. • Liaise with outside counsel re. patent drafting and filing requirements.Manage inventor assignment requirements. • File US and PCT patent applications. • Cause S+N to meet US and PCT formal patent requirements. • Ensure accurate docketing of US and PCT patent deadlines. • Generate patent reports. • Provide monthly IP review committee meeting agendas. • Support other priorities and requests as assigned as business needs arise and with a high degree of flexibility and accommodation. What will you need to be successful? • Education: Bachelors Degree • Paralegal Certification • 5+ years of IP paralegal experience for a global organization. The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $90,000-106,000 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
