About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Specialty Pharmacy Services

arenaflex is a leading provider of end‑to‑end hub services, cutting‑edge technology platforms, and data‑driven decision support for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical‑device innovators. Our mission is to streamline the patient journey—from prescription intake to outcome reporting—by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant pharmacy operations. As a fully remote organization, arenaflex empowers its workforce with flexibility, collaborative tools, and a culture that values innovation, integrity, and continuous learning.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Remote Pharmacy Technician (Data Entry) to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisor, you will serve a diverse portfolio of clients—including product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal stakeholders—by ensuring precise prescription intake, data entry, and coordination with dispensing pharmacies. Your contributions will directly impact arenaflex’s operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain robust, error‑free systems that support the rapid release of accurate prescription information to a wide range of internal and external clients.
  • Perform intake of non‑dispensing pharmacy prescriptions across multiple therapeutic areas and brand portfolios, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Log prescription details into the designated arenaflex pharmacy database, triage each order to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy, and verify data integrity throughout the workflow.
  • Provide timely support to pharmacists for prescription processing, including eligibility checks, claim testing, and documentation of patient‑specific requirements.
  • Assist with inbound call volume as needed, delivering courteous and knowledgeable service to callers while accurately capturing relevant information.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, fellow technicians, reimbursement specialists, and other cross‑functional team members to resolve complex cases and improve process efficiency.
  • Run eligibility checks, validate insurance coverage, and test claims to ensure prescriptions are ready for reimbursement and patient delivery.
  • Distribute prescription files and related documentation to reimbursement specialists and other stakeholders in a secure, organized manner.
  • Promote a positive, professional working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners, embodying arenaflex’s core values of respect and teamwork.
  • Adhere to all program policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines, exercising sound judgment when handling moderate‑scope problems that require data analysis.
  • Operate with minimal day‑to‑day supervision, taking initiative on new assignments while seeking clarification only when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 + years professional experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within a specialty or non‑dispensing pharmacy environment.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license; national certification is preferred. Texas state licensure is required or the ability to obtain it promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote work setting while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy regulations, prescription processing standards, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, teamwork orientation, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational and time‑management capabilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to evolving workflows, new technologies, and shifting client needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with specialty drug reimbursement processes, prior exposure to insurance verification, and claim adjudication.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) integration and data exchange standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
  • Certification in Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
  • Previous remote work experience, demonstrating self‑discipline, reliable internet connectivity, and a suitable home office setup.
  • Knowledge of quality‑assurance methodologies and continuous‑improvement frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Data Accuracy: Meticulous entry and verification of prescription data to prevent errors that could affect patient safety or reimbursement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and industry regulations governing pharmacy operations.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical mindset to assess moderate‑complexity issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Customer Service: Empathetic communication with patients, physicians, and internal teams, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfort navigating multiple software platforms, troubleshooting technical glitches, and adopting new tools quickly.
  • Team Collaboration: Proactive participation in virtual meetings, shared documentation, and cross‑departmental initiatives.
  • Time Management: Prioritization of tasks to handle high‑volume prescription intake while meeting service level agreements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
