Akamai Technologies is a leader in cloud products and services, seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for their Public Sector vertical. The role involves defining and executing product vision and strategy, collaborating with various teams to address public sector challenges, and driving impactful outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and executing the product vision and strategy for our PubSec cloud offerings, existing products, and new development for State, Local, and Education, Federal Civilian, Department of Defense and international frameworks
  • Increasing revenue growth by leading execution across teams, collaborating with engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales to meet roadmap objectives
  • Leading and scaling the product management function, operating both strategically and tactically, with opportunity for long-term business ownership
  • Establishing customer and business centric KPIs, building business cases, and driving product performance, adoption, and customer impact
  • Partnering directly with sales and customers (including travel) to support go-to-market efforts and solution positioning

Skills

  • 15 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experienced with defining and executing product strategies for the US Public Sector, including vision setting, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution
  • Proven ability of building, scaling, and monetizing product lines, including measurable revenue growth and organizational impact
  • Led product management efforts within the US public sector, focused on cloud infrastructure and security
  • Enjoy operating in a matrixed organization aligning stakeholders through clear communication, collaboration, and influential leadership
  • Experience managing and mentoring individual contributors, with the ability to grow and scale a team over time
  • Customer-centric, applying a problem-solving mindset to situations and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance (interim Secret considered) or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required
