The New Business Development Executive is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, securing sales, and managing the sales process to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Implement sales strategies, identify new opportunities, and create go-to-market initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers, leveraging your network and expertise to generate new business and grow existing accounts
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to ensure our solutions remain competitive and relevant in an ever-changing market
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to your manager and other key stakeholders
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, sharing insights and knowledge with the wider organization to drive continuous improvement
  • Act as the point of contact for all sales-related inquiries and manage the sales process from start to finish
  • Meet agreed-upon targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of the book publishing market and an understanding of the challenges faced by organizations in this space
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Driven and results-oriented approach, with a passion for developing and delivering innovative solutions
  • Ability to think strategically and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Ability to manage time well and work independently
