Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent, detail‑oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our arenaflex team in Conklin, NY for a short‑term, one‑month assignment. This on‑site role is essential to the accurate digitization of critical documents that support electronic grading and reporting processes. The successful candidate will work closely with a supportive team, handling incoming test materials, preparing them for scanning, and ensuring that each file is uploaded correctly into our secure system. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced position that rewards a positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Reception & Preparation: Receive incoming test papers, worksheets, and related documents from various sources, verify completeness, and organize them for efficient scanning.
  • Scanning Operations: Operate high‑speed scanners, adjust settings for optimal image quality, and troubleshoot minor technical issues to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Electronic Upload: Upload scanned images into the designated learning management or grading platform, ensuring each file is correctly labeled, indexed, and linked to the appropriate student or test record.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform spot checks on uploaded files to confirm legibility, correct orientation, and accurate metadata entry; correct any discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain strict confidentiality of all test materials, adhering to data protection policies and industry‑standard security protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, IT support, and fellow clerks to coordinate daily priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and share best practices.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Arrive on time for each shift, adhere to the scheduled 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday‑Saturday work hours, and provide reliable coverage for any required overtime, especially on Saturdays (premium pay applies).
  • Professional Appearance: Observe business‑casual dress standards, representing arenaflex with a polished and respectful demeanor.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in office administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to type accurately at a minimum of 45 WPM with a focus on error‑free entry.
  • Previous experience in data entry, document management, or a similar clerical role, preferably within an educational or testing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple documents simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude and a willingness to take initiative when challenges arise.
  • Excellent attendance record and reliability; ability to commit to the full one‑month assignment period.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team‑oriented setting and adhering to business‑casual dress code.
