Why This Role Matters

As a Retail Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you are the front‑line ambassador of our brand. You will guide customers through the entire lifecycle of their projects—from concept to printed product, from signage design to final shipment. Your consultative expertise will help customers select the right services, solve complex printing challenges, and ensure every order is fulfilled accurately and on time. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the overall profitability of our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Consultation

  • Engage customers with a friendly, professional demeanor, actively listening to understand their unique needs.
  • Provide expert guidance on print, sign, graphics, and shipping options, recommending the most suitable arenaflex products and services.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to anticipate additional requirements, suggest alternatives, and create value‑added solutions.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring every interaction ends with a satisfied and loyal client.

Order Management & Production Support

  • Accurately capture complex orders using arenaflex order entry systems, confirming specifications, quantities, and pricing.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of printing, binding, and finishing equipment, handling customer‑supplied media with precision.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment: wrap items, select appropriate containers, weigh packages, and affix labels in compliance with shipping standards.
  • Monitor the production queue, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with the back‑office team to meet tight deadlines.

Store Operations & Merchandising

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail environment, adhering to arenaflex health and safety protocols.
  • Stock and replenish printing supplies, shipping materials, and promotional displays to ensure optimal product availability.
  • Execute visual merchandising standards, keeping signage and product displays current and attractive.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Process transactions through the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately.
  • Prepare daily sales reports, perform cash reconciliations, and assist with bank deposits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer data, handling documents and media with the utmost care.
  • Complete required paperwork, including order confirmations, shipping documentation, and inventory logs.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Follow guidance from supervisors, supporting teammates in daily store functions and special projects.
  • Participate in onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing staff, sharing best practices and product knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities for personal skill growth and suggest process improvements to enhance store efficiency.
  • Operate with minimal supervision while adhering to arenaflex policies, procedures, and the team member handbook.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months of specialized experience in retail, customer service, or a related environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in plain language.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 55 lb, and perform repetitive motions such as bending and twisting.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for multitasking in a fast‑paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer experiences and meeting sales targets.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience operating digital printers, large‑format plotters, or binding equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design concepts and file preparation for print.
  • Previous exposure to shipping logistics, including package preparation and carrier coordination.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Comfort with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Customer‑service certifications or training (e.g., Certified Customer Service Professional).
