About arenaflex

arenaflex is the leading provider of immersive STEM camp experiences in the bustling hubs of New York City and Boston. Each year, we inspire more than 4,000 curious minds through hands‑on learning, creative problem‑solving, and collaborative exploration. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of risk‑takers, innovators, and empathetic leaders, empowering them to thrive in an ever‑changing world. By partnering with families who share a passion for education, arenaflex creates a vibrant community where children grow, families connect, and lifelong learning becomes a shared adventure.

Why This Role Matters

Our community of over 9,000 families is the heartbeat of arenaflex. They entrust us with their children’s growth, and they expect a partner who listens, supports, and evolves alongside them. As the Customer Happiness Manager – Education, you will be the primary relationship architect, turning everyday interactions into lasting bonds. Your work will directly influence program quality, family satisfaction, and the overall reputation of arenaflex as a pioneer in STEM education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship‑Focused Communication: Respond to families via phone, email, and live chat with empathy, clarity, and speed. Anticipate needs, resolve concerns, and turn each touchpoint into an opportunity to deepen trust.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate family records, generate insightful reports, and assist with program scheduling to ensure seamless operations.
  • Community Nurturing Initiatives: Design and launch creative outreach—newsletters, webinars, virtual tours, and seasonal celebrations—that keep families engaged beyond the standard curriculum.
  • Special Projects & Partnerships: Lead initiatives such as strategic partnership development, family‑focused events, enrollment drives, and continuous process improvements that elevate the arenaflex experience.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a junior team member, delegating tasks while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and growth.
  • Feedback Loop Management: Collect, synthesize, and present family feedback to product, curriculum, and operations teams, ensuring that the voice of the community directly shapes program evolution.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to identify trends, forecast family needs, and recommend proactive enhancements to the arenaflex offering.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer support, client success, or marketing, preferably within education or family‑centric industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships, with a track record of turning first‑time users into loyal advocates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex program details into clear, reassuring messages.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset: empathetic, proactive, and solution‑oriented.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team, with a focus on coaching and performance development.
  • Familiarity with the NYC parenting or education market is a distinct advantage, though not mandatory.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, data entry platforms, and basic reporting software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Data Studio).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Background in STEM education, youth programming, or nonprofit community outreach.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging content for newsletters, social media, and community portals.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to juggle multiple initiatives with competing deadlines.
  • Analytical acumen: ability to interpret family satisfaction metrics and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Passion for continuous learning—regularly seeking feedback, attending industry webinars, and staying current on educational trends.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Empathy & Compassion: Truly understand the concerns of parents navigating the complexities of modern education.
  • Strategic Thinking: Balance day‑to‑day support with long‑term relationship building and program improvement.
  • Accountability: Own outcomes, meet commitments, and follow through on promises made to families.
  • Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally with curriculum designers, operations, and marketing to deliver a cohesive experience.
  • Creativity: Generate fresh ideas for community engagement that resonate with diverse family audiences.
  • Data Literacy: Use metrics to drive decisions, measure impact, and showcase the value of your initiatives.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its team members. As a Customer Happiness Manager, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior leaders who have built award‑winning educational programs.
  • Quarterly workshops on advanced communication techniques, conflict resolution, and community building.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that influence company strategy and product roadmap.
  • Tuition reimbursement for courses related to education, psychology, or data analytics.
  • Attendance at industry conferences, such as the National STEM Education Summit, to network and bring fresh ideas back to arenaflex.

Work Environment & Culture at arenaflex

Our culture is anchored in what we call the “Ways of Being.” These guiding principles shape every interaction, decision, and initiative:

  • Purpose‑Driven Action: We constantly ask “why?” to ensure our work aligns with a deeper mission.
  • Iterative Problem Solving: Before asking “if it’s possible,” we explore “how it can work,” fostering a mindset of feasibility and innovation.
  • Data‑First Decision Making: Choices are grounded in evidence, not assumptions.
  • Accountability & Discipline: We set clear goals, track progress, and hold ourselves responsible for outcomes.
  • Feedback Culture: Constructive feedback is welcomed, encouraging diverse perspectives and continuous improvement.
  • Depth Over Surface: We avoid quick fixes, opting for thorough analysis that yields sustainable, scalable solutions.
