Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Remote Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry to support multiple clients, including product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate prescription data, facilitating seamless communication between dispensing pharmacies and reimbursement specialists, and upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance. Your contributions will directly impact arenaflex’s profitability and the overall efficiency of our specialty pharmacy ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve robust systems that ensure timely release of precise prescription information to diverse client groups.
  • Perform intake of non‑dispensing pharmacy prescriptions across a wide range of specialty medication brands, accurately logging each entry into the designated pharmacy database.
  • Triage prescriptions to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy, ensuring that each case follows the correct workflow and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Provide essential support to pharmacists during prescription processing, including data verification, eligibility checks, and claim testing.
  • Assist with inbound call volume as needed, delivering courteous and knowledgeable service to callers while documenting interactions in the system.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, fellow pharmacy technicians, and reimbursement specialists to resolve complex prescription issues.
  • Run eligibility checks and test claims for patient prescriptions, identifying potential barriers and communicating findings to the relevant teams.
  • Distribute prescription data to reimbursement specialists and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties have the information required to process claims efficiently.
  • Promote a positive, professional working relationship with associates, management, and external partners, embodying arenaflex’s core values of respect and teamwork.
  • Adhere to all program policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines, exercising sound judgment when handling moderate‑scope problems.
  • Take initiative on day‑to‑day tasks with minimal supervision, while readily adapting to new assignments and evolving priorities.
  • Perform any related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the pharmacy operations team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 + years professional experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within a specialty or non‑dispensing pharmacy environment.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license; national certification is preferred. Candidates licensed in Texas must either hold a current state license or demonstrate the ability to obtain one promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote work setting while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy regulations governing prescription intake, processing, and data entry.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to internal teams and external clients.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and general computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset; proven experience working effectively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to error‑free data handling.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate new situations, evolving processes, and shifting priorities.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with specialty drug reimbursement workflows, prior authorization processes, and patient assistance programs.
  • Familiarity with claim adjudication tools and eligibility verification platforms.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and best practices for safeguarding protected health information (PHI).
  • Ability to analyze prescription data trends and suggest process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Previous remote work experience, demonstrating self‑discipline, reliable internet connectivity, and a suitable home office setup.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While the role is fully remote, candidates must be able to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and computer‑based tasks. Occasionally, you may need to lift or move items up to 10 pounds (e.g., documents, equipment). The virtual work environment typically features a moderate level of background noise, and arenaflex provides resources to help you create an ergonomic and distraction‑free workspace.

Schedule Flexibility

Because arenaflex serves clients across multiple time zones, you must be flexible with your schedule and able to adjust work hours to meet peak demand periods, urgent claim submissions, or time‑sensitive communication needs. Core hours will be discussed during onboarding, and you will have the opportunity to negotiate a schedule that aligns with both personal commitments and business requirements.

Compensation, Benefits & Professional Growth

arenaflex offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits suite that may include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans with generous employer contributions.
