Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Service & Retention Sales Representative to serve as a Retention Specialist. In this role you will engage customers who are considering canceling their arenaflex services, turning potential churn into long‑term loyalty. You will combine expert problem‑solving with persuasive sales techniques to deliver an award‑winning experience that reinforces the value of arenaflex’s protection solutions.

This is a remote, full‑time position that requires an initial on‑site training period (8‑12 weeks) at our Irving, Texas campus. After training, you will work from a private, distraction‑free home office equipped with high‑speed internet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from customers requesting service cancellations.
  • Listen actively, identify underlying concerns, and uncover opportunities to retain the customer.
  • Present tailored solutions—price adjustments, billing credits, equipment upgrades, or additional services—to address objections.
  • Maintain a calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor, especially on escalated or emotionally charged calls.
  • Document each interaction accurately in arenaflex’s CRM, noting the root cause of cancellation requests and the resolution offered.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets while adhering to quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (billing, technical support, product specialists) to resolve complex issues quickly.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and de‑escalation skills through ongoing coaching and training.
  • Utilize a suite of ten+ software tools—including pricing calculators, contract management systems, and knowledge bases—to craft personalized offers.
  • Stay current on arenaflex policies, product enhancements, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or customer‑retention role where performance was tied to measurable outcomes.
  • At least 2 years of call‑center experience handling inbound service or sales calls.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade, negotiate, and upsell while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency with multiple computer screens and the ability to navigate several applications simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills—quickly perform calculations, interpret contracts, and propose financially sound solutions.
  • Excellent active‑listening and verbal communication skills, with a focus on empathy and problem resolution.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in the smart‑home, security, or telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s product suite (home alarm systems, video monitoring, smart locks, automation).
  • Certification in conflict resolution, de‑escalation, or sales methodology (e.g., SPIN, Challenger).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, to accommodate customer schedules.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding retention and sales quotas.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

  • Starting hourly wage of $18.00, with incremental increases of $0.50 every 30 days until reaching $21.00 after 180 days.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work

  • Dedicated, distraction‑free workspace at home.

  • Hard‑wired Ethernet connection (Wi‑Fi not acceptable for primary connection).
  • Standard PC or laptop with Windows 10/11 or macOS, plus a headset with noise‑cancelling microphone.
  • Reliable power source and backup plan for occasional outages.
