Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct the Global Adversarial Abuse and Analytics teams, setting vision, goals, and performance metrics aligned with arenaflex’s Trust and Safety (T&S) objectives.
  • Threat Detection & Response: Oversee the identification and remediation of abusive patterns, including account hijacking, spam, fraudulent engagement, and emerging AI‑generated threats.
  • Data‑Driven Insight Generation: Lead the Business Analytics group to produce actionable insights, risk scores, and transparency reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Global Operations, and Policy teams to design and launch tools that leverage account, social, and content signals for abuse detection.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive high‑quality, high‑velocity execution across a 24×7 global operation, ensuring rapid incident response and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with senior leadership, external partners, and law‑enforcement agencies to coordinate joint initiatives and share best practices.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent in data science, risk analysis, and security engineering, fostering a culture of curiosity and resilience.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all abuse‑mitigation strategies comply with global privacy and data protection regulations, providing transparent reporting to authorities.
  • On‑Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, including occasional weekend coverage, to maintain uninterrupted protection of the platform.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading risk‑mitigation or abuse‑prevention initiatives at scale.
  • Proven track record of designing and deploying data pipelines and machine‑learning models for large‑scale threat detection.
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL, R, Python, or MATLAB for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable business strategies.
