Purchasing Agent (Experience Required)
Job Summary Opus Luxury Cabinets is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing Agent to oversee cabinet, hardware, accessory, sample and job completion orders. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer projects move smoothly from order approval through completion by coordinating with designers, vendors, cabinet manufacturers and internal team members. The ideal candidate is proactive, accurate, organized and comfortable managing multiple jobs, vendor relationships, order details, and deadlines at one time.
Responsibilities
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for:
- Processing and placing new cabinet orders.
- Verifying that required approvals, signed drawings, and deposits are received before orders are submitted.
- Working with designers to identify and resolve potential issues before orders are placed.
- Coordinating with cabinet manufacturers to finalize orders.
- Posting new orders and job-related documents to internal systems and job folders.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining Job Summary Forms.
- Ordering job completion parts and warranty replacement parts.
- Placing orders for cabinet accessories, hardware, samples, and showroom items.
- Ordering miscellaneous cabinet parts from cabinet manufacturers.
- Maintaining and updating purchasing-related files, order forms, and internal records.
- Reviewing open order reports weekly to confirm orders are moving in a timely manner.
- Maintaining vendor order lists and purchasing documents.
- Assisting designers with proper sizing and selection of cabinet accessories, including trash roll-outs, kitchen and bath pullouts, pocket door hardware, and other specialty items.
- Communicating with vendors, manufacturers, designers, and internal team members regarding order status, product availability, and job needs.
- Supporting other team members with purchasing-related tasks as needed.
Common Vendors and Product Categories This role may involve ordering from cabinet manufacturers and vendors for:
- Cabinet hardware
- Cabinet accessories
- Island brackets
- Cabinet protection products
- Mesh, gallery rail, and decorative cabinet components
- Pullouts and storage accessories
- Miscellaneous cabinet parts
- Job completion and warranty replacement items
- Samples for designers and showroom use
Qualifications
- Purchasing, ordering, or project coordination experience preferred.
- Cabinetry, construction, design, or remodeling industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and job details at the same time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with designers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal team members.
- Ability to identify potential issues and communicate them before they become larger problems.
- Experience with order management systems, shared drives, Google Docs, 2020 Design software, or similar platforms preferred.
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic office software.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits:
