Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments of children and family situations, identifying risks and needs. Develop and implement individualized service plans (ISPs) for children and families, focusing on safety, permanency, and well-being. Provide ongoing virtual case management, counseling, and support to clients. Coordinate services with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies via remote communication channels. Conduct virtual home visits and support client engagement in community-based services. Prepare detailed case documentation, court reports, and service referrals within established timelines. Advocate for the best interests of children within the legal and social service systems. Participate actively in virtual team meetings, case consultations, and supervision sessions. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and agency policies. Stay current with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child welfare.
Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in
Texas, US
(or ability to obtain quickly). Minimum of 5 years of post-master's experience in child welfare or a related field. Proven experience in conducting assessments, developing service plans, and providing counseling. Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and family systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams). High-speed internet access and a dedicated home office space conducive to confidential virtual work. Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a remote team environment. Proficiency in using electronic case management systems.
