Our purpose—Connecting People, Connecting the World—goes far beyond moving travelers from point A to point B. As a global organization operating in dozens of countries, we serve a diverse customer base and a dynamic workforce that spans continents. This unique position gives us a responsibility to create meaningful opportunities wherever we fly, work, and live.

Our ambition is matched by our commitment to our employees. arenaflex invests heavily in talent development, offering a comprehensive benefits package, robust career pathways, and a culture that celebrates innovation, inclusion, and collaboration. If you’re ready to help shape the future of aviation while working from the comfort of your home, we invite you to explore the exciting role of Principal Architect – AdTech Customer Data & Identity on our Remote Team.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper‑connected world, advertising technology (AdTech) is the engine that powers personalized, data‑driven experiences for travelers. As the Principal Architect – AdTech Customer Data & Identity, you will be the visionary leader who designs and implements the next‑generation customer identity framework that fuels targeted marketing, enhances loyalty programs, and drives revenue growth across arenaflex’s digital ecosystem.

Your work will directly influence how millions of passengers interact with our brand, from the moment they search for a flight to the post‑travel loyalty experience. By creating a unified, privacy‑first identity solution, you will enable marketers, product teams, and data scientists to deliver relevant, timely offers that delight customers and strengthen arenaflex’s market position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect the Identity Platform: Lead the end‑to‑end design of a scalable, secure, and privacy‑compliant customer identity system that integrates with existing AdTech platforms, data warehouses, and loyalty services.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Define a multi‑year technology roadmap that aligns with arenaflex’s business objectives, market trends, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Data Modeling & Identity Graphs: Build sophisticated customer data models and identity graphs that unify first‑party, second‑party, and third‑party data sources, enabling a 360‑degree view of each traveler.
  • Implementation of Industry Standards: Deploy emerging standards such as UID 2.0, Unified ID, and Consent Management frameworks to ensure interoperability across DSPs, SSPs, and partner ecosystems.
  • Collaboration with Cross‑Functional Teams: Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Security, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and to drive adoption of the identity platform.
  • Data Governance & Privacy: Champion data governance best practices, ensuring that all identity processes comply with internal policies and external privacy regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Establish metrics, dashboards, and automated testing pipelines to continuously monitor system performance, data quality, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Thought Leadership & Innovation: Stay ahead of AdTech trends, evaluate new technologies, and evangelize innovative approaches to customer identity within arenaflex and the broader industry.
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Guide a high‑performing team of architects, data engineers, and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (required).
  • Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing large‑scale data architecture solutions, with at least 3 years focused on customer identity platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering end‑to‑end AdTech solutions, including experience with demand‑side platforms (DSPs), supply‑side platforms (SSPs), and data management platforms (DMPs).
  • Deep expertise in data modeling, identity graph construction, and the application of universal identifiers (e.g., UID 2.0, Match ID, and similar).
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing consent and preference management frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and modern data processing tools (Kafka, Spark, Flink, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry, particularly within a digital marketing or loyalty context.
  • Background in building data clean‑rooms or privacy‑preserving data collaboration environments.
  • Familiarity with machine learning pipelines that leverage identity data for predictive marketing and personalization.
  • Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
