Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Data Entry Technician to join the arenaflex team. In this role, you will be the guardian of data quality, ensuring that every customer record, transaction detail, and account update is captured accurately and efficiently. Your work will directly influence the reliability of our analytics platforms, the speed of client reporting, and the overall trust our partners place in arenaflex’s data services.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of modern enterprises. At arenaflex, the precision of our databases determines the success of downstream processes such as predictive modeling, compliance reporting, and strategic planning. As a Data Entry Technician, you will be at the front line of this data pipeline, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, consistency, and accessibility of critical information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including analysts, supervisors, and client service representatives—to share best practices and ensure alignment on data standards.
  • Gather data from a variety of sources, including electronic forms, scanned documents, interview notes, and legacy systems, employing both manual observation and automated tools.
  • Enter new and updated records into arenaflex’s master databases with a focus on speed, accuracy, and adherence to established data entry protocols.
  • Perform rigorous verification checks, cross‑referencing entries against source documents to eliminate errors and inconsistencies.
  • Prepare data sets for PDF printing, ensuring that formatting, pagination, and content integrity meet client specifications.
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures to maintain compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular data cleansing activities, identifying and purging duplicate records, obsolete entries, and inaccurate information.
  • Document data entry processes, create user guides, and contribute to the continuous improvement of workflow efficiencies.
  • Support ad‑hoc reporting requests by extracting and formatting data quickly and accurately.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional data entry experience, preferably within a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
  • At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation).
  • Exceptional typing speed (≥70 WPM) with a high degree of accuracy (≤1 error per 200 words).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with data entry automation tools (e.g., OCR software, macros, or RPA platforms).
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices for data quality assurance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common data entry issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Prior exposure to industry‑specific data standards (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare, PCI DSS for finance).
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in every keystroke and a relentless focus on eliminating errors.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple data streams simultaneously.
  • Analytical Thinking: Spotting patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for data refinement.
  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively with diverse teams, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a supportive culture.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving technologies, shifting priorities, and new data sources.
  • Integrity: Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical data handling.

arenaflex is committed to the professional development of its employees. As a Data Entry Technician, you will have access to a robust learning ecosystem that includes:

  • Structured onboarding programs that cover arenaflex’s data architecture, security protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Ongoing training workshops on advanced Excel techniques, database querying, and emerging data entry automation tools.
  • Mentorship from senior data analysts and IT specialists who can guide you toward more technical roles such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Specialist, or Database Administrator.
  • Opportunities to earn certifications (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist, Certified Data Management Professional) with company sponsorship.
  • Clear career pathways that reward performance, initiative, and mastery of new competencies.

Work Environment & Culture at arenaflex
