Instructor for Brazilian Portugues Language Language: Brazilian Portugues Location: Brazil (remote) Employment type: Freelance. Student: One adult student seeking to learn Brazilian Portugues. Student PTB level: Beginner. STAR7 started its activity as a Language Service Provider more than 20 years ago and it is still expanding worldwide. The STAR7 LLC Academy team works with clients such as companies and relocation companies to provide language training for families moving to new countries. We are currently recruiting a Freelance Brazilian Portugues Language Instructor to deliver virtual lessons to an adult student in Brazil. This assignment may also lead to additional opportunities in the future, supporting other students (virtual and/or in-person). Key Responsibilities - in this role you will: Design and deliver engaging one-to-one lessons tailored to the student’s level, goals, and learning style. Focus on basic conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar in Brazilian Portugues. Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to support continuous improvement. Encourage active participation and build the student’s confidence in speaking and understanding Brazilian Portugues. Adapt teaching methods and pace based on the student’s evolving needs. Maintain clear and professional communication with the student and project manager.
Requirements
Native or near-native proficiency in Brazilian Portugues. Proven experience in teaching/instructuring PTB as a second language, preferably in a one-to-one setting. Strong knowledge of PTB grammar, pronunciation, and usage. Ability to create engaging and personalized lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a student-centered approach. A degree in Portugues, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus. TEFL/TESOL certification or equivalent is preferred.
