[Remote] Financial Application Support Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Fintal Partners is a leading trading firm seeking an Application Support Engineer to support critical systems across the business. This role involves troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and ensuring high-impact applications run smoothly while collaborating with engineering teams and internal users.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support business-critical production applications and workflows
• Investigate and troubleshoot application incidents and production issues
• Analyze data anomalies and identify appropriate resolutions
• Partner closely with engineering teams to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement
• Provide support to internal users across a variety of platforms and tools
• Handle L1/L2 support responsibilities while collaborating with developers on more complex investigations
• Contribute to the development and scaling of support processes and best practices
• Work with large-scale, data-intensive systems that support time-sensitive business functions
• Gain exposure to sophisticated technology in a dynamic, high-performance environment

Skills

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Familiarity with SQL and the ability to investigate issues using data
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A curious mindset and a willingness to dive deep into challenging problems
• Exposure to real-time or data-driven systems is highly desirable
• Exposure to scripting or object-oriented programming concepts is a plus
• Experience using version control tools such as Git is beneficial
