Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous, detail‑oriented Data Entry Specialist to become an integral part of our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be the guardian of data integrity for our logistics management system, ensuring that every shipment, inventory record, and operational metric is captured accurately and efficiently. Your work will directly influence the quality of reporting, decision‑making, and overall operational excellence at arenaflex.

This full‑time position is based at our state‑of‑the‑art logistics center, where you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, support peak‑period initiatives, and contribute to a culture of precision and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input a high volume of logistics data—including shipment details, carrier information, and inventory movements—into the arenaflex Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Perform rigorous data verification to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Maintain and regularly update master data sets, reference tables, and auxiliary databases that support reporting, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Generate and distribute routine data‑driven reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to resolve data discrepancies, answer queries, and improve data workflows.
  • Identify patterns of recurring entry errors, propose corrective actions, and document process improvements to enhance overall data quality.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and security protocols for all proprietary and customer data, adhering to GDPR, C‑TPAT, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Participate in periodic audits, data cleansing initiatives, and system upgrades, providing subject‑matter expertise on data entry processes.
  • Assist in training new hires and peers on best practices for data entry, validation, and system navigation.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in data management, information systems, or logistics is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a data entry or data‑management role, preferably within a logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain environment.
  • Exceptional typing speed (≥70 WPM) with a focus on accuracy (error rate ≤1%).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail while handling large data sets under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation) and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and meet established service level agreements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of data issues and collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Self‑motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and as a constructive member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with logistics or supply‑chain management software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) such as SAP, Oracle Transportation Management, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data‑cleaning tools, scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python), or automation solutions that enhance data entry efficiency.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, data privacy regulations, and best practices for secure data handling.
  • Previous involvement in process‑improvement projects, Six Sigma, or Lean initiatives within an operational setting.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technology stacks and participate in system migration or upgrade projects.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to scrutinize data for inconsistencies, spot trends, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying root causes of data errors and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, fostering a shared commitment to data quality.
  • Time Management: Capacity to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high productivity during peak periods.
