City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Marketing and Public Relations Specialist The Market and Public Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage target audiences, and generate new business opportunities. This role integrates traditional media, digital marketing, and geo-social platforms to ensure a cohesive brand presence across multiple channels. The specialist will manage both internal and external communications, leveraging public relations, digital marketing, and content strategies to support the organization’s goals. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic communicator who can integrate public relations, marketing, and digital engagement to enhance brand reputation and reach key audiences. The Market and Public Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to engage target audiences across various consumer venues, online forums, and buzz marketing platform by utilizing traditional, geo-social media, and digital marketing to maintain brand consistency and visibility; and monitoring market trends and competitive landscapes to adjust marketing strategies accordingly. The incumbent will manage both Public Relations & Communications by ensuring alignment with organizational messaging, developing press releases, media pitches, and public statements to maintain a positive brand image and cultivating relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community stakeholders to amplify the organization’s voice. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing digital & social media marketing performance analytics, organizing/promoting events, sponsorships and partnerships to strengthen brand recognition and developing content for websites, blogs, newsletters, and marketing collateral to drive consumer interaction. The Market and Public Relations Specialist is also responsible for content development & storytelling by creating compelling content that aligns with brand messaging and consumer interest, developing multi-channel campaigns incorporating traditional PR, content marketing, and social media strategies. Position supports the Mother/Baby, Maternal/Family, Family Planning and Fatherhood Foundation spaces. Qualified candidates will be expected to travel throughout the year to various events in support of these important areas (primarily in the Tidewater/Richmond geographic locations) Education Bachelors Level Degree (Marketing, Mass Communication) required Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements Experience Required: 2 years of Marketing Required: or 2 years of Public Relations Bachelors Level Degree is required Digital and Social media strenghts Building community relationships and partnerships across the region Benefits: Caring For Your Family and Your Career
