This role blends deep technical expertise with cross-functional leadership, offering a chance to influence product electrical design, guide multidisciplinary projects, and optimize processes for high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing. If you are passionate about mechanical engineering, process improvement, and creating seamless user experiences through operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop, document, and manage the execution of scalable manufacturing processes and systems for specialized data center products, with continuous optimization for cost, quality, and flexibility.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Product Management, and Operations teams to identify and address potential manufacturing obstacles during early product development stages, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to production.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze and interpret complex production data to inform manufacturing strategies. Identify and implement solutions that drive performance and efficiency improvements across the entire supply chain.
  • Vendor Qualification and Development: Lead the evaluation, qualification, and strategic development of contract manufacturers with a focus on future capabilities, innovation, and long-term partnership value.
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to create Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices/Orders (ECN/ECO). Lead PLM teams to align forecast and BOM structures.
  • Project Leadership: Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects through the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering with internal clients to final delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Feedback: Serve as a valued partner to the new product development team by providing industry knowledge, identifying and qualifying advanced manufacturing techniques, and offering actionable DFM feedback.
  • Process Improvement Leadership: Drive yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high-volume, high-complexity components, applying LEAN, 5S, and 8D methodologies.
  • Data Center Commissioning Expertise: Apply experience in commissioning data centers to ensure seamless integration of manufactured equipment into operational environments.
  • Influence Product Design: Use your expertise to impact electrical product design and assembly processes, ensuring manufacturability without compromising performance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, or Product Engineer in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: At least 6 years of experience working with PLM systems, including BOM management, engineering change processes, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Data Center Expertise: 5 or more years of experience in the design and execution of civil high-voltage applications within data center construction projects.
  • Remote Work Capability: Proven ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment, with strong self-management skills and reliable communication practices.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed for vendor visits, site inspections, and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Yield and Process Optimization: Demonstrated experience directing yield improvements and process cycle time reductions for high-volume, high-complexity parts.
  • LEAN Manufacturing Expertise: Practical experience with LEAN manufacturing principles, 5S workplace organization, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
  • Data Center Commissioning Experience: Hands-on experience commissioning data centers and integrating new equipment into operational environments.
  • Design Influence: Proven ability to influence product electrical design and assembly processes to improve manufacturability and reliability.
