Why This Role Matters

As a Personal & Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative on the Southeast Platform, you will be the trusted voice for policyholders and prospects in the Pelham, AL region. You will translate complex insurance concepts into clear, actionable guidance, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service, support, and satisfaction. Your ability to listen, solve problems, and promote appropriate solutions will directly influence customer loyalty, retention, and the overall success of arenaflex’s insurance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls and respond promptly to email inquiries from existing policyholders and prospective clients.
  • Explain insurance products, coverage options, policy terms, and underwriting guidelines in a clear, jargon‑free manner.
  • Process policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and mid‑term adjustments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, claim status questions, and other policyholder concerns with empathy and efficiency.
  • Guide customers through the claims filing process, providing step‑by‑step instructions and coordinating with claims adjusters as needed.
  • Handle escalated service issues, collaborating with underwriters, claims specialists, and senior managers to resolve complex problems.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all customer interactions in arenaflex’s CRM system, updating policyholder information and documenting resolutions.
  • Identify cross‑selling opportunities and proactively recommend additional personal or commercial insurance products that meet the client’s evolving risk profile.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional post‑secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of proven customer service experience, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of resolving issues quickly and accurately.
  • Basic familiarity with personal and commercial insurance terminology, policy structures, and underwriting principles.
