[Remote] Founding AI Engineer

They are seeking a Founding AI Engineer to design and build AI-powered operational systems, focusing on automation and production-grade AI solutions within regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AI-powered applications, automations, and agentic workflows
- Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal platforms
- Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for operational improvement
- Translate complex business processes into scalable software systems
- Develop solutions that balance usability, reliability, security, and compliance
- Continuously improve systems based on user feedback and operational outcomes
Skills
- Strong software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems and platform development
- Expertise in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and modern API design
- Experience building and deploying AI-powered products or workflow automation systems
- Understanding of security, privacy, compliance, and building systems within HIPAA-regulated environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
