[Remote] Senior Frontend Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to lead their web-based learner experience, rebuild it from the ground up, and mentor a small team of front-end developers.
Responsibilities
- Architect & build our Vue + Nuxt front end: Design a modular, scalable codebase that delivers a seamless, performant experience for guitarists worldwide. A key part of this role is being a builder and getting your hands dirty in the codebase
- Own the full front-end lifecycle: From initial planning and component design to launch, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance
- Implement and enforce best practices: Establish coding standards, handle code reviews, testing strategies, performance budgets, and security guidelines
- Mentor and grow the team: Provide guidance, code reviews, and development for our small team of front-end engineers
Skills
- 7+ years building production-grade enterprise web applications
- Experience working at companies with engineering teams of less than 15 people
- Experience working in a fully remote environment with teammates spread across the U.S. and internationally
- Experience with integrating third-party systems (like CMS's, billing platforms, ESP's, etc.)
- Deep expertise in frontend frameworks. We use Vue.js and Nuxt (Vue 3, Composition API, server-side rendering, static generation) but expertise in React and Next.js is acceptable
- Familiarity with TypeScript, modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS Modules, or similar), and front-end build tools (Vite, Webpack)
- Strong communicator —you'll manage a small front-end squad, coordinate cross-functionally, and present updates to leadership
- Engineering with AI —you're already using AI-powered dev tools, and you can envision and implement how generative models and embeddings can elevate our learner experience
- Exceptional attention to detail, performance-optimization chops, and a passion for pixel-perfect UIs
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving, autonomous environment
- Test-driven mindset —you treat testing as core to front-end quality, building fast, reliable unit and regression suites for critical paths
- An engineer that is comfortable flex full-stack and has experience with PHP
