[Remote] Director of Business Development - Power Generation

Jedson Engineering is a full-service engineering and EPCM firm specializing in various vertical markets, currently experiencing significant growth in their Power Generation Vertical. They are seeking a Director of Business Development to define go-to-market strategies and drive growth through client relationships and market intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Winning profitable business from both new and existing clients
- Identifying client needs, qualifying opportunities, and collaborating with engineering teams to craft compelling solutions
- Leading proposal development and pricing coordination
- Identifying opportunities for differentiation in technical capability, project delivery, and commercial strategy
- Calling on prospective utilities, owner-operators, and power generation clients
- Conducting cold outreach and targeted lead generation
- Attending industry conferences, networking events, and serving as a thought leader
- Gathering and returning competitive intelligence to strengthen Jedson’s market position
- Participating in project management activities for engagements you help secure
- Serving as the primary client contact to deepen and expand long-term relationships
Skills
- Experience in power generation and consulting engineering
- An engineering degree
- Strong understanding of engineering services and EPC delivery
- Experience executing engineering design and project management projects
- A proven track record of selling engineering services to the power generation market
- A proactive, outgoing, results‑driven approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
