Network Technician

The Network Technician will report to the Technical Services Manager and is responsible for providing front line support through ticket creation and generalized network guidance. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is goal-oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results. The position will require someone who can provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. JOB DUTIES: Open tickets or respond to support requests from our partners within defined SLAs. Apply basic tier 1 configuration changes to remote client systems – wireless access points, switches and firewalls. Maintain documentation of existing systems as changes are made. Perform firmware updates on remote client systems. Escalate support requests to Tier 2, or reroute to the correct team as needed, with detailed notes regarding the initial request and actions taken. YOU MUST HAVE: One (1) year of networking experience or current Network+ / PCNA or equivalent certification. Novice level understanding of Layers 1-3 of the OSI Model. Novice level understanding of wireless local area networks. Experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk/support capacity. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Consistently demonstrates professionalism. Written communication Fanatical attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization Verbal interactions Personal presentation Availability nights/weekends as needed WE VALUE: Residential custom electronics design/integration experience and familiarity with home automation systems such as Crestron, Savant, AMX, and Control4 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Outlook for email and calendar management Word for document creation and formatting Excel for basic data analysis and organization #LI-REMOTE #LI-MH2 Resideo Technologies has announced its intention to spin off ADI Global Distribution and establish it as a separate, publicly traded company.
