Medical Office Scheduler Full-Time | Remote Jacksonville, FL (Corporate Location) Dept: MRI Job Summary Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Medical Office Scheduler to support patients and providers by coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and managing referrals. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule consultations and follow-up appointments
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance eligibility and process referrals
- Manage incoming calls and route messages appropriately
- Communicate with providers and referral offices
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of healthcare experience (call center experience a plus)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling systems
- Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, remote environment
