You’ll be at the heart of daily operations that power electronic payments, ACH processing, wire transfers, and account reconciliations for thousands of members. Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Perform daily transaction processing and balancing activities for ACH, wire, and electronic fund transfers.
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other financial institutions.
  • Assist multiple departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and general ledger (GL) reconciliation.
  • Manage member cases and service tickets, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Adhere to NACHA rules, Federal banking regulations, and internal policies to maintain strict compliance.
  • Process loan payments, multi‑account deposits, credit card payments, and a variety of examinations including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff reviews.
  • Review, approve, and post Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), mobile, ATM, and other image‑enabled transactions.
  • Log, analyze, and post significant GL and account adjustments or reversals.
  • Execute stop‑pay requests and check batch processing.
  • Complete daily balancing and department close procedures.
  • Gather required information from members for accurate and timely processing of domestic and international fund transfer requests.
  • Research and validate inbound and outbound fund transfer data, communicating with members to execute transfers according to legal guidelines.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of all accounts and data, ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
  • Process overdue returns, receipt re‑issues, foreign collections, and prison fees as part of daily workflow.

All You Need for Success – Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in finance or business is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with banking software (e.g., Episys, Symitar) is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior customer service or member service experience, especially within a banking or credit union environment.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with NACHA rules, Federal Reserve regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
