Our client is seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Certified Early Childhood Educator to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US, although you will be serving families primarily in the Richmond, Virginia, US area. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child development, age-appropriate learning methodologies, and a passion for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing children's progress, and communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being. Key Responsibilities include: Designing and delivering a comprehensive early childhood curriculum tailored to various age groups (infants, toddlers, preschoolers). Conducting regular observations and assessments of children's developmental milestones and providing detailed reports. Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating virtual learning environment. Maintaining open and consistent communication with parents/guardians through various digital channels (e.g., video calls, email, dedicated platforms). Collaborating with a team of remote educators to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies. Ensuring compliance with all state and local childcare regulations and licensing requirements. Utilizing technology effectively to deliver engaging educational content and manage administrative tasks. Providing support and guidance to parents on topics related to child development, discipline, and education. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Valid state teaching certification or relevant credentials (e.g., CDA). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting or preschool. Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual communication tools. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. A strong understanding of child safety protocols and emergency procedures. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with children and families. Must pass a comprehensive background check.
