Position Summary
arenaflex is seeking a full‑time, remote Customer Service Representative – Inbound Phone Specialist to join our Member Advocacy team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for members calling with questions about coverage, claims, benefits, and program eligibility. You will combine empathy, product knowledge, and compliance awareness to resolve inquiries quickly and accurately, while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data security.
Key Responsibilities
- Member Care: Identify, research, process, and resolve member inquiries via telephone, email, and chat, ensuring each interaction is courteous, accurate, and solution‑focused.
- Benefit Explanation: Clearly articulate plan details, contract benefits, eligibility criteria, claim status, provider network information, and any changes to coverage.
- High‑Volume Call Management: Answer an average of 40 inbound calls per day, maintaining a professional tone and adhering to call‑handling protocols.
- Quality & Performance: Meet or exceed established metrics for call quality, average handle time, first‑call resolution, and overall productivity.
- Documentation: Accurately document each interaction in arenaflex’s CRM system, updating member files and ensuring all required fields are completed.
- Compliance & Privacy: Follow HIPAA and internal privacy guidelines, safeguarding member information at all times.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in a 9‑week instructor‑led virtual training program and ongoing education sessions to stay current on product updates and regulatory changes.
- Team Collaboration: Share insights and best practices with peers, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and support cross‑functional projects as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors that support the mission of arenaflex and enhance member satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable).
- Minimum of 1 year of external customer service experience, preferably in a call‑center or insurance environment.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners, multi‑line telephone systems).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a clear, friendly, and professional phone presence.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule within the 6:00 am – 6:00 pm window, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in health insurance, Medicare supplement plans, or related regulated industries.
- Fluency in Spanish (or another second language) with the ability to provide bilingual support; eligible for a $1 per hour bilingual premium.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and basic troubleshooting of member portals.
- Certification in customer service excellence (e.g., HDI, CCSP) or related professional development.

Compensation & Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $18.00, with performance‑based incentives and quality bonuses that can increase earnings. Additional compensation includes a $1 per hour bilingual premium for qualified Spanish speakers. New hires are eligible for a $1,000 onboarding bonus paid in two installments ($500 at three months and $500 at six months).
