Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our Life Call Center team. This role is fully remote (with the possibility of future office attendance) and operates on a Monday‑through‑Friday schedule—no weekends required. You will be the first point of contact for customers seeking guidance on retirement and insurance products, delivering personalized, high‑quality service that reflects arenaflex’s core values of accountability, agility, inclusivity, and courage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build genuine rapport with each caller, asking insightful questions to uncover needs and deliver a best‑in‑class experience.
  • Educate members about arenaflex’s retirement and insurance offerings, clearly explaining benefits, features, and eligibility.
  • Resolve inquiries and service requests on the first contact whenever possible, meeting or exceeding established quality metrics.
  • Navigate multiple internal systems and tools efficiently to retrieve information, process transactions, and document interactions.
  • Balance call volume and handle time to ensure department service‑level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk situations to senior specialists while maintaining ownership of the customer’s journey.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training sessions, coaching calls, and performance reviews to continuously improve skill sets.
  • Contribute ideas for process enhancements that improve the customer experience and operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, or a bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while adhering to established guidelines and policies.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in a high‑volume call‑center environment, preferably within insurance, annuities, financial services, hospitality, or retail.
  • Experience with insurance or annuity servicing platforms and a solid understanding of financial products.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish) are a distinct advantage.
