Principal Appian Consultant We are seeking a highly experienced Appian professional to serve as a technical leader across enterprise digital transformation initiatives. This individual will play a key role in guiding project teams, advising stakeholders on platform strategy, and delivering scalable Appian-based solutions that align with business and technical objectives. The Principal Appian Consultant will provide architectural oversight, support complex implementation efforts, establish delivery standards, and help develop the next generation of Appian talent through mentorship and technical leadership. This position also contributes to internal innovation initiatives, process improvements, and the advancement of delivery capabilities across the organization. ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for Appian implementations and related enterprise technologies. Advise stakeholders on Agile delivery practices, quality assurance strategies, governance models, and platform adoption. Partner with development teams throughout the solution lifecycle, including design, build, testing, and deployment activities. Support large-scale programs consisting of multiple workstreams and development teams. Recommend and implement best practices for solution architecture, scalability, security, DevSecOps, release management, and platform operations. Ensure applications are designed for long-term maintainability, performance, and growth. Develop technical standards, implementation frameworks, and reusable assets to improve delivery consistency. Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and operational efficiencies. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of internal platforms, tools, and infrastructure. Mentor developers and consultants through coaching, training, and technical enablement initiatives. QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on Appian development and implementation experience. At least 5 years of broader IT consulting, software engineering, or systems integration experience. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Active Appian Lead Developer Certification required. Demonstrated success delivering Appian solutions within Agile environments. Strong solution architecture, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across teams. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB. Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, middleware platforms, and web services (REST, SOAP, etc.). U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred ExperienceUser experience and interface design principles. Cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Identity and access management technologies such as SAML, OAuth, LDAP, and Kerberos. Data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, and visualization tools. DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies.
