Our client, a leading engineering consultancy firm, is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Geotechnical Engineering to bolster their project capabilities. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to apply your extensive knowledge and skills from anywhere in the United States. You will be responsible for providing expert geotechnical analysis and design for a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including bridges, dams, buildings, and transportation systems. Your duties will encompass planning and overseeing subsurface investigations, interpreting soil and rock mechanics data, and developing foundation designs, slope stability analyses, and earth retention systems. You will prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, specifications, and technical recommendations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role demands a strong understanding of soil mechanics, engineering geology, and advanced numerical modeling techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, coupled with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering is required, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies in a remote setting. Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GEOSTUDIO, or similar is highly desirable. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, stability, and longevity of critical infrastructure projects through meticulous geotechnical evaluation and design.
