Tax Team Captain (CPA or EA) — Remote, Profit-Sharing

Role Summary We’re launching Tax Services and seeking a seasoned CPA or EA to be our Tax Team Captain and founding builder. You’ll architect proactive planning, streamline prep/review, and integrate tax tightly with our CFO + bookkeeping rhythms. This is an opportunity to build a practice from the ground up—systems, standards, and client experience. What You'll Do · Build the function: Create scalable workflows, calendars, checklists, and QA standards. · Plan proactively: Year-round strategy (entity/owner comp, deductions/credits, safe harbors, estimates). · Prepare & review: Federal and state returns for S-corps, partnerships, and owner-operators. · Advise with clarity: Join client calls; translate complexity into calm, actionable guidance. · Improve continuously: Track outcomes, document learnings, and iterate each season. · Collaborate: Work with FFP bookkeepers/coaches so tax, ops, and cash management align. Requirements · Active CPA or EA. · 3+ years hands-on small-business tax prep and planning (S-corp, partnership, individual). · Remote-ready: Zoom, email, spreadsheets, task systems. · High integrity, sound judgment, and confidentiality with sensitive financial info. Nice to Have · QuickBooks Online familiarity; simple document-management tools. · Experience with health & wellness businesses. · Exposure to Profit First or other cash-management frameworks. Compensation & Schedule Profit-Sharing Only (to start): Pay is tied to department results; earnings grow with success. Remote + Flexible: Start ~10–20 hrs/week, with seasonal ramps; we care about outcomes and clear communication. As we scale together, we can define a path to a salaried leadership role.
