Product Manager, Cards

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-13

About the Company

Rain makes the next generation of payments possible across the globe. We’re a lean and mighty team of passionate builders and veteran founders. Our infrastructure makes stablecoins usable in the real-world by powering card transactions, cross-border payments, B2B purchases, remittances, and more. We partner with fintechs, neobanks, and institutions to help them launch solutions that are global, inclusive, and efficient. You will have the opportunity to deliver massive impact at a hypergrowth company that is funded by some of the top investors in fintech, crypto, and SaaS, including Sapphire Ventures, Norwest, Galaxy Ventures, Lightspeed, Khosla, and several more. If you’re curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial future, we’d love to talk. Our Ethos We believe in an open and flat structure. You will be able to grow into the role that most aligns with your goals. Our team members at all levels have the freedom to explore ideas and impact the roadmap and vision of our company.

About the Role

Rain is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own cards — one of the most strategically important surfaces at the company. Cards are how stablecoins meet real-world spend, and this role will shape the product, platform, and growth decisions that define that experience for our partners and their end users. This is a senior individual contributor role. You’ll operate as the directly responsible PM for cards end to end: the roadmap, the cardholder experience, the platform capabilities that power it, and the activation and growth loops that make the product stick. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, partnerships, and directly with our fintech, neobank, and institutional customers. What You’ll Do

  • Own the roadmap for Rain’s cards product — cardholder experience, platform capabilities, and growth — and drive it end to end
  • Partner deeply with engineering on platform and infrastructure tradeoffs (issuing flows, authorization behavior, ledger design, network integrations) and translate them into partner-facing product decisions
  • Define and ship the card experience our fintech, neobank, and institutional partners put in front of their users — onboarding, activation, spend controls, and lifecycle
  • Build and tune the activation and growth levers that drive adoption, usage, and retention of cards across partner programs
  • Translate complex payments and stablecoin infrastructure into intuitive product surfaces
  • Gather feedback directly from partners, distill it into sharp prioritization, and push the team toward the highest-leverage work
  • Measure ruthlessly, iterate quickly, and set a bar others want to work to

What We’re Looking For

  • 8-10 years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping products from zero-to-one through scale at a product-led company with a strong engineering culture and high bar for quality
  • Exceptional product judgment and analytical rigor — you’re someone others describe as one of the sharpest PMs they’ve worked with, and you consistently raise the bar for the people around you
  • A senior, autonomous operator who can define the problem, drive the plan, and own the outcome without needing close direction
  • Strong technical fluency (APIs, payments systems, blockchain concepts) and the instinct to pull on technical threads yourself rather than defer to engineering
  • Genuinely excited to live in the details — you believe product quality is won in the specifics and are energized by the work to get them right
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can operate with sophisticated external partners and internal engineering teams with equal ease
  • Proven ability to ship quickly, measure adoption, and iterate in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have, But Not Mandatory

  • Experience with card issuing, payments, or cross-border fintech products
  • Exposure to stablecoins, crypto, or smart contract ecosystems
  • Previous startup or hypergrowth environment experience

Things that enable a fulfilling, healthy, and happy experience at Rain:

We want everyone to be able to work in the environment in which they are their most confident and productive selves. New Rainmakers will receive a stipend to create a comfortable home environment.
  • Easy to access benefits 🧠 For US Rainmakers, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents, as well as a 100% company subsidized life insurance plan.
  • Retirement goals 💡 Plan for the future with confidence. We offer a 401(k) with a 4% company match.
  • Equity plan 📦 We offer every Rainmaker an equity option plan so we can all benefit from our success.
  • Rain Cards 🌧️ We want Rainmakers to be knowledgeable about our core products and services. To support this mission, we issue a card for our team to use for testing.
  • Health and Wellness 📚 High performance begins from within. Rainmakers are welcome to use their card for eligible health and wellness spending like gym memberships/fitness classes, massages, acupuncture — whatever recharges you!
  • Team summits ✨ Summits play an important role at Rain! Time spent together helps us get to know each other, strengthen our relationships, and build a common destiny. Expect team and company off-sites both domestically and internationally.
