Early Childhood Educator - Virtual Learning Specialist

Our client is seeking a passionate and innovative Early Childhood Educator to join their pioneering team as a Virtual Learning Specialist, based in Washington, D.C., US . This is a fully remote position focused on developing and delivering engaging, high-quality early learning experiences through digital platforms. You will leverage your expertise in child development to create curriculum, design interactive lessons, and provide support to young learners and their families in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, creative, and dedicated to fostering a positive and stimulating learning experience remotely. You will play a key role in shaping the future of online early education. Responsibilities: Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for early childhood education delivered via virtual platforms. Create engaging and interactive digital learning activities, games, and content. Facilitate live virtual learning sessions for young children, ensuring active participation and developmental progress. Provide guidance and support to parents and guardians on supporting their child's remote learning journey. Assess children's developmental progress through observation and digital portfolio tools. Utilize various educational technologies and software to enhance the learning experience. Collaborate with a team of educators and child development specialists to refine virtual learning strategies. Maintain clear and consistent communication with families regarding their child's progress and engagement. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of young learners in a remote setting. Stay informed about best practices in online early childhood education and digital pedagogy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) working with young children in an educational setting. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering educational content for online or virtual platforms. Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and pedagogical approaches. Proficiency in using educational technology, video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet), and digital learning platforms. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to create a fun, engaging, and supportive virtual learning environment. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt lessons for remote delivery. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners. Experience with online assessment tools and portfolio development is a plus.
