Virtual School Social Worker in MA

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker to provide telehealth services within a school setting in Cambridge, MA. This role requires delivering remote mental health support and counseling to students, addressing their social and emotional needs while collaborating with educators and families. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments and provide individual or group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to students unique circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and families to support students well-being and academic success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all interactions and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience providing social work services in educational settings, particularly via telehealth.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and crisis intervention.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Proficiency with telehealth technology and remote service delivery methods.
