Job description: , a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking an in-person tutor to join their team. As the In-Person Math tutor to work with students in grades 5-12 in the Phoenix area.
Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and is committed to helping students succeed.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $20/hr-$25/hr
Classification: Contract (1099)
Tutoring Type: In-home, Math, Test Prep
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person Math tutoring sessions with students in grades 5-12.
- Design and execute customized lesson plans for individual students.
- Review and assist with homework.
- Collaborate with students' families to keep them apprised of student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of session details, scores, and student progress.
- Junior year standing at a local 4 year degree granting college or university. Earned Bachelor's preferred.
- Experience with math tutoring, teaching, or test preparation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop customized lesson plans for individual students.
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, as needed.
- Self-motivated and committed to helping students succeed.
