As an Events Manager at Hawkes Learning, you will lead strategic event initiatives that elevate brand presence, engage customers, and support revenue growth across higher education. This high-impact role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution and requires close collaboration with marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams. You will translate business goals into compelling event strategy, serve as a strong advocate for the attendee experience, and ensure Hawkes events clearly communicate value and differentiation in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own strategy and execution of all in person and virtual external company events including, but not limited to, tradeshows, regional events, webinar series, Hawkes-hosted virtual conferences, and symposia
  • Research and lead speaker strategy and relationships for all relevant events
  • Manage full event budgets and financial performance, driving and reporting on goals and KPIs around event-related ROI
  • Oversee all event logistical plans, timelines, and deliverables, communicating across teams and depts to ensure all collaborative parties are aware of responsibilities and tasks are happening in a timely manner
  • Maintain high quality standard of support and communication with guest speakers, event attendees, vendors, and other qualified lead opportunities
  • Provide leadership and oversight during virtual and live events as needed to ensure smooth execution and rapid problem solving
  • Coordinate internal or external freelance assistance as appropriate to execute large events
  • Conceptualize and implement new and engaging event ideas that drive customer retention and promote brand awareness
  • Serve as a thought leader on event and marketing trends
Requirements
  • Experience leading end-to-end event planning and execution
  • Ability to scale events, manage budgets, and oversee vendors
  • Strategic, data driven approach to translating goals into event experiences
  • Proficiency with event platforms and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoom Webinars, & Events)
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills in a marketing environment (higher ed or EdTech preferred)
  • Organized, adaptable communicator who is collaborative, customer focused, and accountable
  • Higher Education experience preferred

The salary range for this role is competitive with a range of $70,000 to $90,000 and considers a variety of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 30+ days of paid time off to start with additional time each year of employment, an employer 401(k) match of up to 3.5%, and a significant employer contribution to healthcare benefits.
