Need Behavioral Specialist in Helena, MT

Job title: Behavioral Specialist Company: Helena Public Schools Job description: At Helena Public schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. This position will work during the regulary school calendar days, 7 hours a day. Starting salary is $41,615 prorated based on a school year of 187 days in addition to a generous benefit package: . Final salary is determined based on education level and applicable experience. Some of what you will do:

• Provide resources and professional instructional on behavior interventions and supports.
• Conduct functional analysis assessments of behaviors for student with complex and/or severe behaviors in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Work cooperatively with educators in planning and developing FBA/BIP procedures.
• Identify management and/or behavioral interventions and participate in behavior teams providing support and management for the implementation of behavior plans.
• Collecting and interpreting data.

Who we are looking for: To become part of this dedicated team, you have a Bachelor?s Degree in Education or related field, 3 years of experience working with students with developmental/behavioral needs; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District. A valid Montana Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Elementary Education is required; endorsement in Special Education is preferred. Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA) completed or in progress is highly desired. Complete the online application to include a cover letter and three professional references.
