As a remote data entry professional, you'll play a critical role in managing and maintaining our data storage systems, ensuring data backups, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing ongoing suggestions and best practices to the team.

Key Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and Maintaining Enterprise Data Storage Systems: You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS conditions. This will involve ensuring that our data storage systems are running smoothly, efficiently, and securely.
  • Implementing and Maintaining Enterprise Backup and Data Security Technologies: You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise backup and data security technologies to ensure that our data is protected from loss, theft, or unauthorized access.
  • Efficiently Managing and Monitoring Reporting Platforms and Software: You'll be responsible for efficiently managing and monitoring our reporting platforms and software to ensure that they're running smoothly and providing accurate and timely insights.
  • Defining and Implementing Storage Capacity Planning Strategies: You'll be responsible for defining and implementing storage capacity planning strategies based on industry standards and best practices to ensure that our data storage systems are optimized for performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: You'll be responsible for collaborating with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and configuration selection to ensure that our data storage systems are integrated with other systems and applications.
  • Providing Technical Support and Guidance: You'll be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on complex activities, such as installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations to ensure that our data storage systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performing Code Updates and Security Patching: You'll be responsible for performing code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of our storage systems and ensure that they're protected from vulnerabilities and threats.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ Years of Experience in Data Storage or a Related Field: You'll need to have at least 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with a strong emphasis on networking and storage protocols.
  • Industry Knowledge and Experience with Large-Scale SAN Design and Implementation: You'll need to have industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation to ensure that our data storage systems are optimized for performance and efficiency.
  • Proven Expertise in Enterprise Storage Administration: You'll need to have proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with a strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies.
  • Strong Understanding of Current and Emerging Data Protection Technologies: You'll need to have a strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies to ensure that our data is protected from loss, theft, or unauthorized access.
  • Experience with NAS Concepts and Protocols: You'll need to have experience with NAS concepts and protocols, including CIFS, NFS, and S3.
  • Knowledge of Data Synchronization Technologies: You'll need to have knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS.
  • Operating System Administration Skills: You'll need to have operating system administration skills, including both Linux and Windows.
  • VMWare Concepts and Administration: You'll need to have VMWare concepts and administration skills to ensure that our virtualized environments are running smoothly and efficiently.
