Position Purpose:
Coordinate and manage a variety of administrative and programmatic efforts within the Center for Repair of Historic Harms (started in 2022) and the Office of Innovation (starting in 2023). These new ministries work with a wide variety of constituencies across the church to repair the damage the church has caused in the past and to innovate fresh ways of being church and approaching ministry in partnership with mid-councils, congregations, new worshipping communities and their leaders This position requires both warmth, hospitality, interpersonal effectiveness as well as efficiency, thoroughness, and making potentially complex processes smooth and accessible
Responsibilities:
1. Support and encourage the mission, vision, identity, values and mission work plan of the Presbyterian Mission Agency in attitude, work ethic, behaviors, and relationships.
2. Oversee the operations and associated projects of the Office of Innovation and Center for Repair including:
- Distributed staff coordination
- Volunteer contributor relationships, onboarding and coordination
- Databases (CRM) and online presence of both ministries.
- Researching and implementing additional tools and processes (tech and operational) to ensure excellence and responsiveness in internal operations and constituent service.
- Project management for implementing organizational systems and processes.
- Travel planning and operations for staff and volunteers.
- Bachelor's/undergraduate degree required, graduate education preferred.
- 2 or more years experience in operations, management, organizational systems development.
- Knowledge of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). A member of an active congregation of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. is especially helpful in this work.
- Fluency in Spanish or Korean along with English is a plus.
- Solid understanding of high-quality constituent service, organizational systems for cloud-based data sharing, & project management.
- Operationalize services, processes and delighting constituents.
- Willing and able to work with a geographically distributed team and travel occasionally.
- Excellent listening and communication skills are required.
