Job description: Works under supervision in the performance of any combination of following instructional tasks in classroom to assist teacher of EL students by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists by carrying out instructional guidelines set up by EL Teacher.
- Works with students one-on-one or in small groups.
- Prepares various teaching aids such as charts, and graphs.
- Travel daily to both Desert Vista and Peralta Trail to assist in the EL program.
- Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, supervised role playing, and uses technology to assist in instruction.
- Provides assistance with identifying, scheduling, and assessing of EL students.
- Assist teacher with updating and maintaining accurate student records.
