Key Responsibilities
As an In-Home Veterinarian with arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing compassionate, personalized care to pets in their own homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Conducting thorough medical evaluations, developing treatment plans, and administering medications as needed
- Building strong relationships with clients, providing education and support to help them navigate the end-of-life care process
- Collaborating with our team of experienced veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless care and communication
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to industry standards and regulations
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited institution
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a strong focus on end-of-life care and in-home visits
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds assisted
- The ability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
- Experience working with geriatric pets or pets with chronic conditions
- Familiarity with in-home care and end-of-life care protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
