Experienced Welsh Speaking Customer Service Advisor – Discretionary Assistance Fund

We're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Welsh Speaking Customer Service Advisor at arenaflex, a leading provider of software solutions to public services.

The Role

As a Welsh Speaking Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for applicants and system administrator for the arenaflex system, responsible for processing emergency payments and individual assistance grant applications. You'll work closely with applicants to gather information, undertake eligibility checks, and process applications in accordance with the legislation and criteria involved.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process emergency payments and individual assistance grant applications

  • Manage and process data in a fast-paced office environment
  • Accurately record data and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with applicants to process information into the arenaflex solution
  • Undertake eligibility checks with the applicant, seeking information direct from the applicant, utilising additional sources for confirmation
  • Comply with Processing Services Customer Charter when dealing with all incoming and outbound calls in both English and Welsh
  • Work as part of the team in achieving targets set by the Service Manager
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to Local Welfare Provision either by telephone, email, or letter
  • Deal with and respond to enquiries from clients, citizens, and internal colleagues in a positive and professional manner
  • Act as a key deliverer of the Discretionary Assistance Fund contract

Essential Qualifications:

* Fluency in Welsh (conversional level)

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and arenaflex software

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a customer service or administrative role

  • Knowledge of the Discretionary Assistance Fund and its legislation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to achieving targets
