Job title: Dance Instructor Company: Bella Ballet Kentlands Job description: Hello and thank you for viewing our listing for a Dance Instructor at Bella Ballet Our studio is conveniently located in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg, MD. We are seeking an enthusiastic, upbeat, and driven dance teacher to join our studio this fall season. You will be accountable for teaching and training our students in a variety of dance techniques and styles, and ensuring that each pupil is motivated, inspired, and passionate about honing their dance skills. As a dance instructor, you will be providing high-quality dance education to students in the age range of 2-18. You are required to see that classes run efficiently, provide corrective techniques, and may need to give individual instruction. It is essential that you have a background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop, as well as an encouraging attitude for creating a positive learning environment. Additionally, prior experience in Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Acro is preferred. Our Award-Winning Classes span from September until June and the season concludes with a June Recital Performance. We would love for you to apply if you have an affinity for teaching children and love to dance. Previous dance teaching experience is a must. It is also possible that you need to do minor cleaning after classes. When hired, you will be asked to sign an NDA and Non-Compete Agreement. Responsibilities:

• Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Choreograph routines for recital
• Conduct group and private lessons as required
• Provide a fun and creative environment
• Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience required
• Background in dance
• Excellent communication skills
• Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable
• Demonstrate patience and leadership skills
