Part-Time Lecturer Pool
POSITION
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool in Chinese Studies to teach undergraduate courses in Chinese language, culture, business, art, literature, linguistics and/or film.
Areas of Specialization
We are seeking highly motivated, well-organized individuals to teach in at least two of the following subject areas:
- Chinese Language, Introductory to Advanced
- Chinese Culture, Chinese Civilization, and Contemporary China
- Chinese for Business
- Chinese Literature, Intermediate to Advanced
- Chinese Linguistics
- Chinese Film
- Candidates must hold at least a master's degree in Chinese, Chinese Studies, or a related field and possess native-like fluency in Chinese to teach lower-division (100- and 200-level) courses, and must hold a Ph.D. (or be a Ph.D. candidate) in Chinese Studies or a related field and possess native-like fluency in Chinese in order to teach upper-division (300-level) courses.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America. California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching
- Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.

- Chinese Courses for the Bachelor of Arts in International Business with a concentration in Intercultural Management;
- General Education courses, an active Chinese Studies Club, and CSU-approved International Programs in mainland China and Taiwan.
