Professional Software Engineer (gn) – PHP (B2B Commerce)

As a Software Engineer, you will work on scalable B2B commerce solutions within a modern, event-driven architecture. In our team of 7 engineers, you will drive the growth of our core B2B product with the goal of expanding into new markets and building a strong partner ecosystem. You will develop high-performance services using PHP 8, Symfony, and AWS, and actively shape a platform designed for high load, complex integrations, and long-term growth. Your focus is on stable systems, seamless integrations, and an architecture that remains reliable as complexity increases. At the same time, you will be working in a dynamic environment where requirements and priorities can shift – you stay pragmatic, keep a clear overview, and enjoy moving things forward.

Your mission

• You develop and optimize our B2B commerce platform using modern architectures
• You design and implement microservices and APIs for business-critical processes
• You work with event-driven technologies (AWS SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Lambda)
• You collaborate closely with Product and stakeholders to deliver B2B features
• You ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and clean architecture principles
• You contribute to technical decisions and actively share knowledge within the team

Your experience & skills

• You have strong experience in PHP and frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
• You have experience with microservices and event-driven systems
• You have solid knowledge of API design and B2B integrations (e.g. ERP, CRM)
• You have experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD processes
• You actively use AI tools in your daily development work and understand their effective application
• You have very good English skills, German is a plus
